Before you close

Liv offers a range of specialized banking products and services designed to enhance your financial well-being, including competitive interest rates, rewards programs and exclusive offers. With your Liv account you can seamlessly access your funds anytime through the Liv App and through an extensive network of ATMs across the region. We recommend you try Liv’s innovative offering before closing your account. In case you still want to go ahead with account closure, please follow the steps listed below.

Things you should do before you close your Primary Account with Liv

• Withdraw all funds from your account
• Resolve and liens or amounts on hold by depositing funds into the account
• Download your statements for your record via the Liv app as your online statement history won’t be available after you close your account.
• Clear your dues on any active Credit Card or Personal Loan with Liv
• Settle any credit card debts or loans linked to your account for auto debits or provide a new repayment method. Cancel any recurring payment standing instructions or any direct debit you have set up.

How to close your account

If you wish to close your account, you can reach out to our support team via call (available 24/7) or via WhatsApp (available 9am - 5pm) on 600521212. Our support team process your request. In case any additional details or documents are required, one of our representatives will reach out to you.

Once you’ve met all the conditions for account closure, your account will be closed within 3 to 5 working days. You will receive communication from the bank once the account is closed.

Fees and Charges

A fee of AED 50 plus VAT is applied if the account is closed within 6 months of opening. For accounts opened more than 6 months, there are no fees or charges for closure. You will be liable to pay any debit interest and other charges owed to us including any cheques you may have issued. Early Account closure fees only applies to your Primary Account with Liv. Any Suffix Accounts created during our relationship with Liv are not going to be charged early closure fee.
